Q: How long do vinyl graphics last?
A: KI Studios uses only the highest quality, high performance grade cast vinyl films by reputable brands like 3M, Avery, Oracal, and Arlon. Brands vary depending on the color selection and availability. All films are rated with an outdoor durability of over 6 years, and up to 12, depending on the color. Durability rating is not a warranty. Graphics that are kept clean, waxed, and in a garage can well exceed the manufacturers durability rating. Neglected graphics that are always exposed to the elements, or pressure washed, may have a much shorter life span.
Q: Do vinyl graphics expire if left in the box?
A: We produce each item fresh per-order. Vinyl graphics don’t have an expiration date like a carton of milk. However, they should be installed as soon as possible for best results. We recommend installing your graphics within 30 days of receiving your order. It also helps to keep your graphics sealed in the box until you are ready to install.
Q: Can I wax over vinyl?
A: Yes! Waxing over vinyl will help protect it from the sun and extend it’s life just like it does your paint. We recommend hand washing and waxing only, using a liquid wax in order to avoid that annoying white build up on the edges of the vinyl. Spray detailer, or spray wax works great as well.
Q: How long should I wait before washing the car after applying fresh graphics?
A: Wash the car before applying graphics! I recommend allowing the car to sit outside for one full sunny day before it’s first wash, to make sure the vinyl has had enough time to dry from it’s wet application.
Q: What water solution should I use when wet applying graphics?
A: There are all sorts of recipes and application fluid products out there. After my 11 years of install experience, I have come to the conclusion that plain old water is the best! For a large wet application you may add a single drop of soap to your spray bottle in order to make the application more forgiving. Take extra care in removing the transfer tape when using a drop of soap as it will slow the drying process and initial stick of the vinyl. All the KI Studios demonstration videos are done with plain water.
Q: What is the turn around time?
A: KI Studios stripes and graphics are made-to-order and have a typical production time of 3-5 business days before shipping.
Q: What is your return policy?
A: KI Studios graphics kits are made-to-order specifically to your specifications and car, so we can not accept returns. Please double check your order before proceeding to check out. In the very rare case that a product may be defective or incorrect, KI Studios will replace the kit after inspection of the approved return, within 30 days. Q: Can vinyl graphics be removed?
A: Yes! We recommend using a clothes steamer to soften the vinyl, making the removal a whole lot easier and really cut back on the amount of adhesive left behind, if any. These are about 50 dollars at many local stores. See the vinyl removal video here: http://youtu.be/o0-YoXEH8gU
Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: Yes! Most graphics kits are available for international shipping anywhere in the world at a flat rate of $44 unless noted in the product description. Import taxes are not included and will be collected by UPS before delivery. Wrap kits ship to the United States only, due to the over sized box for 60″ rolls of material.
Q: Do you offer factory / OEM products?
A: No, KI Studios does not sell or manufacture factory or OEM products for your car.

A: Yes! We have been designing vehicle wraps for over 20 years, and specialize in road rally and racing liveries for Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren. Over the years, we have wrapped everything from crash cranes on US Navy aircraft carriers to Bugatti’s for exotic car events.
